Manage Hunger When Taking HCG Injections for Weight Loss


Even though HCG injections are a powerful hunger-curbing tool for the dieter, on occasion one will unfortunately experience hunger on the HCG diet.  If you are using HCG injections for weight loss, you will be most vulnerable when you are working out the right dosage to use while you are on the diet.  You may also experience emotional hunger too; these things need to be addressed so you can ensure your dieting success.  When it comes to working out hunger issues while on the HCG diet, there are several things you can do.

When you are first figuring out the dosage you need for fast weight loss, you might experience weakness.  You may be tired, cranky, moody, and you may feel like you are starving.  If you are doing a 500-calorie plan and using injections, you might want to up your protein content until you find the perfect dosage for your needs.  Eating more protein reduces hunger and leaves you feeling more satisfied after every meal.  Hunger pains can also be diminished temporarily if you drink more water.  Make sure you are getting all of the water you are suppose to when using injections too; two quarts a day is the recommended amount.

If you end up with impure products for HCG injections, you might still be very hungry well into the diet.  Make sure you are getting a quality product.  If you question the quality of the product you are using, you may want to find another place to get your injections from in the future.

In addition, if you have started out using 125 IU for every injection and you are starving, up your dosage to 150 IU.  Make gradual increases in the amount of HCG you are using until you no longer feel hungry all the time.  If you feel that your dosage is not right for you can you can speak with the physician prescribing your HCG injections and let them know about your hunger issues.  You do not have to suffer in silence; you may simply need an increase in the amount you use each day.

Don’t confuse emotional hunger for physical hunger when you are doing the HCG diet.  If you have reached the maximum dosage of HCG for injections, then something is amiss.  You may be an emotional eater who becomes hungry whenever you are stressed or under emotional duress.  Examine the times when you become hungry and think about how you are really feeling.  Using a journal to document events and emotions will allow you to see what emotional triggers are influencing you and making you hungry.

Make sure you take in every calorie you are allowed to on this diet; don’t think that you can eat four hundred calories and you won’t be hungry.   When using HCG injections for weight loss, you should consume all the 500 calories allowed for the day.  Going lower than 500 calories a day almost ensures you will be hungry all the time.
